Add A Perch

Remember your guests when outfitting powder rooms, adding a shelf or table where they can set down a purse and other sundries while they’re powdering their noses.

Go Out On A Limb

A powder room should be a “stand-alone” space that doesn’t need to connect with adjoining rooms, so don’t be afraid to be daring when decorating one. Try a colour or pattern (such as this whimsical avian print by Schumacher). Be as bold as you want.

Think Thin

If you’re tight of budget – and since you don’t need a lot of storage in a powder room – choose a chic pedestal sink over a lacklustre vanity. Dress it up with an elegant faucet for long-lasting appeal.
