Born and raised in Toronto, city gal CeCe Saulay joined Sarah Richardson Design as Client Services Manager. Her love for numbers, approach to problem solving on the fly and strong client relationship skills made her an excellent addition to the team. She cites art and fashion as being huge influences in her life, and is ecstatic to combine these passions with the fast paced family environment that is SRD.
When she's not at the hockey rink with her four boys or hunting for a Sudoku club to join, you can find CeCe hiking new paths, practicing yoga and spending time with friends and family. She also loves exploring all that Toronto has to offer, as any adventure gives her the chance to reset, refresh and get the creative juices flowing!

FAVOURITE ORGANIZATIONAL TIP
If you want to keep your business organized, use Excel whenever possible. I have a love for charts and colour coding anything and everything!
THE MOST EXCITING PART OF A DESIGN PROJECT IS...
I love comparing the after shots to the before shots, and hearing how happy our clients are with the transformation. That's the most exciting part for me to experience!
BEST DESIGN BARGAIN YOU BOUGHT FOR YOUR HOME?
I scored big on two solid wood wardrobes, two desks and a dresser. I found them at yard sales and flea markets, each for under $50. I sanded them down and sprayed them white with my trusty spray paint gun. I added crystal knobs and now they look fabulous!
THING YOU WOULD BUY FOR YOUR HOME IF MONEY WERE NO OBJECT?
A large L-shape deep cushion sofa for my large family.
MY STYLE WOULD BE DESCRIBED BY MY COLLEAGUES AS
Edgy and fun mixed with new and old.
FAVOURITE TWO-COLOUR COMBO:
I love mixing metals. I find the challenge of balancing silver and gold to be invigorating. As for actual colours? Grey and a mauve tinted pink is where it's at for me.
FAVOURITE DESIGN PERIOD/MOVEMENT?
The 60s!!! The fun colours, shapes and patterns produced strong emotions, a real 'think-outside-the-box' kind of design. David Hicks' designs were hugely influential in the 60s - and still are!
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ROOM TO DECORATE AND WHY?
The living room. I love switching up my accent colours for this room every couple of years. It’s the room my boys and I spend the most time in.
WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT FOOD?
Double toasted rye with avocado, sea salt, crackled black pepper and chili peppers.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR NEXT DREAM VACATION?
Thailand as a solo vacation or The Bahamas with my four boys, with a day trip to Pig Beach. This is an island uninhibited by humans - just the roaming of cute adorable playful piggies!
IF YOU WERE A FABRIC, WHAT WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
Velvet. It’s a nostalgic fabric, romantic and sentimental like myself.
