After completing a Business Management degree at Bishops University in Quebec, Lindsay moved to Toronto to pursue love (that worked out – she’s now happily married!) and design. While attending the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), Lindsay fell for the world of interiors. Her business background and understanding of the elements that bring a design project to life led her to Sarah Richardson Design.

Lindsay grew up watching her parents run their own business in Ottawa and through osmosis some of their business savviness stuck with her! Juggling new client inquiries, client invoicing and a crew of very busy designers,

Lindsay makes sure that SRD is running like a well-oiled machine. Introducing and improving internal operations is her specialty.

At home Lindsay and her husband Ryan frequent Toronto’s best restaurants, love to throw dinner parties that run into the wee hours, and can often be found tackling DIY projects in their loft - with input from Team SRD, of course!

FAVOURITE ORGANIZATIONAL TIP

Basecamp! Or any calendar system with reminders. There's just way too much going on to remember everything without help!

BEST DESIGN BARGAIN YOU BOUGHT FOR YOUR HOME

A carpet that I found in the basement of a flea market in Ottawa. A quick clean later and wow!

THING YOU WOULD BUY FOR YOUR HOME IF MONEY WERE NO OBJECT

A stand-alone home in Toronto! I currently reside in a condo. Breaking away from the pack would be nice!

FIRST DESIGN MEMORY?

Painting my bedroom about 6 times as a child. I'm still impressed by the impact that a quick coat of paint can make.

THE MOST EXCITING PART OF ANY DESIGN PROJECT IS...

Introducing a new, excited client to our designers. Seeing clients' fears melt away as they get to know our team is magical. It's like match-making!

MY STYLE WOULD BE DESCRIBED BY MY COLLEAGUES AS...

Surprisingly modern!
